Hotel Policies
To ensure an enjoyable stay for all of our guests, we encourage reviewing our hotel policies prior to your arrival. Please note that policies are subject to change without notice.
General Policies
- Check-in time begins at 4:00 PM and check-out time is at 11:00 AM.
- Guests arriving early are welcome to use the hotel’s facilities while a room is being prepared. Luggage storage is available at our front desk.
- A valid credit card and photo ID must be provided at check-in.
- Rates are quoted in USD and do not include 13% government tax or 12% service charge.
- Reservations for Cayman residents and work permit holders can be made tax-exempt once an accepted form of ID is presented.
- A Hospitality Fee of $35 USD per day is charged in addition to the room rate for services and amenities such as:
- Daily breakfast for all guests in your party (made to order).
- Wi-Fi in room and throughout the hotel.
- Use of pool, fitness station and sun loungers.
- Onsite parking.
- Local calling.
- Use of beach chairs and beach towels.
- Payment for the Hospitality Fee will be taken at check-in if it was not included in your reservation.
- Rates are subject to change without notice.
- While every effort is made to accommodate requests, room assignments cannot be guaranteed.
- Guests must be 18 or older to place a reservation. Guests under the age of 18 are only allowed to check in with a parent or official guardian.
- Pets are not permitted at the hotel.
- The Locale Hotel Grand Cayman is a 100% smoke-free property.
Room Occupancy & Extra Person Fees
- The rates for each room category are based on the following number of occupants:
- Double Queen Room: 2 guests
- Penthouse Suite: 2 guests
- Family Suite: 2 guests
- The maximum occupancy in each room category is as follows:
- Double Queen Room: 4 guests
- Penthouse Suite: 4 guests
- Family Suite: 6 guests
- Extra person fees of $20 USD + tax and fees, per person, per night apply for additional guests. See room pages for details.
- Extra person fees may be charged upon check-in if the unit is occupied by more guests than originally booked.
- Extra person fees will not be charged for children ages 2 and under.
- Cribs are available at no additional charge (based on availability). Please request cribs at time of booking.
Deposit Policy
Deposit Policy (January 2 to December 23)
- A credit card is required as a guarantee upon booking a reservation.
- A 1-night deposit including room charge, hospitality fee, and taxes, will be charged at the time of booking.
- If the hotel does not receive a deposit within 72 hours of booking, it reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
- The remaining balance may be charged at any time within 7 days of check-in.
Holiday Deposit Policy (December 24 to January 1)
- Holiday travel covers nights from December 24 to January 1.
- A 3-night minimum stay is required during the holiday period.
- A credit card is required as a guarantee upon booking.
- A 50% deposit including room charge, hospitality fee, and taxes, will be charged at the time of booking.
- If no deposit is received within 72 hours, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
- The remaining balance may be charged at any time within 30 days of arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy (January 2 to December 23)
- Reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 7 days prior to check-in.
- 100% of the total will be charged for cancellations within 7 days of check-in, no-shows, or early departures.
- No refunds or credits for any unused portion of a stay.
Holiday Cancellation Policy (December 24 to January 1)
- Holiday reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 30 days prior to check-in.
- 100% of the total will be charged for cancellations within 30 days of check-in, no-shows, or early departures.
- No refunds or credits for any unused portion of a stay.
Hurricane Policy
- If a hurricane warning is issued within 7 days of arrival, guests may reschedule or cancel for a full refund.
- If a warning is issued during the stay and guests must leave early, unused nights will be refunded.
Pool Rules
- Pool hours: 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
- Diving is strictly prohibited.
- No food or drink inside the pool.
- Chairs and loungers may not be reserved.
- Hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged items in pool or exercise areas.
- No lifeguard on duty. Guests swim at their own risk.
